I have been a photographer since 1987. I have a broad base of photographic experience ranging from 19th-century chemical-based processes used produce photographs to 21st-century digital image-capture and computer-based manipulation, as well as current output techniques and devices used in producing final printed images.
I studied photography at Brooks Institute of Photography, graduating in 1996, and currently teach various photography courses in the San Diego region at Grossmont College, Palomar College and UCSD.
I enjoy photographing numerous subjects, as is evident in my collected body of work. I have extensive experience in studio lighting techniques which I enjoy sharing with students. The challenges of the photographic process are many, but the rewards of abundant when met with expertise and vision. I hope to invigorate and enliven the process of learning for my students, while imparting a strong foundation of knowledge and understanding about the technique and art of Photography.
In addition to various public classes at local colleges, I offer private lessons and consultation in photography, printing, color management, and digital workflow.
